WIRED Magazine (UK) App Reviews

I first started with the US december issue, and was very pleased with the readability, extras provided by the iPad version (animations, links to videos or URLs in the text, ...), horizontal viewing format, and content. I then bought the UK version...and soon realised that it was in no way comparable to the US version: I cannot read it with the iPad tilted horizontally (or is it just me ? I tried to reboot, looked back at the US version to make sure it was possible, ...), there are very few "extras" and when there are...it feels like they do not belong there and have been added just because they were expected by the reader.. The content in itslef is fine, even if I found an article which I had already read in the US december issue. Im not too sure Ill be buying it again next month...I might stick to the US edition...

How hard is it to make a decent app when you claim to be at the edge of technology ? Your electronic magazine is well thought and beautiful, but the app to manage and download the diferent issues is unreliable.

Even more since yesterday update.... Please do something..... iPad Mini Retina 2 and latest version of IOS.

WIRED is the best magazine I know. I like most of its articles and I recomend it for everybody. But the App is really awful. The font size is so small my eyes get tired after I read the second page. I think the app could receive a five star rate if: a) we could select the font size of the texts; b) the app provided a search tool throught all editions; c) we could use the built in dictionary of the iPad. I hope someone will make those revamps in the app.

The app advertised as "Free". It is not. You need to pay to actually read. A big disgusting lie. And it starts to play some music which is the last thing I expect from a magazine.

All iPad apps show fonts in retina resolution on the new iPad 3 - except Wired. They apprently use some custom fonts and therefore the fonts on your new shiny 3rd generation iPad look really bad. In addition to that: The content of Wired is good, but usability is quite bad. @Wired: You cn do better!

Im a regular purchaser of the Wired UK iPad app but having no luck getting the new July issue. Got the latest update and there are no prompts at all for me to get the issue. I even reinstalled the app and past issues but no luck. Help????

The app will not allow me to create an account to download the magazine issue I have paid for (I have received an e-mail confirmation from Apple that the purchase has been processed).

I paid my subscription but dont have acces to my Wired Magazine!!!

Im surprised! I cannot use this apps because it does not work. The only thing i can reach is a nice picture. I spend more than 30 mins to download and delete, and download again with a hope that it will work. But unfortunetelly it is nothing more than waste of time...

Where the **** are 2011 issues?

Great articles. But poor performance on iPad 3. Come on, is it really that heavy?.. Please enable built-in dictionary for the texts inside the magazine. Disabling selection is a miserable way of copyright protection: allow selection of individual words and phrases to enable dictionary usage, please.

OK, so Ive paid for 12.10 v1.2. Why does 12.10 v1.3 show as a different issue altogether? Has the content changed? Why would I repurchase the same content? The content is not in question, the framework is...

I got the Wired mag UK app. Then I paid for this months issue and now I wait for the 500 mb file to download...and if I stray away to another app, then the download of my paid for Wired mag issue is Paused? Stupid...I will buy only one issue, thanks for the lesson

I am a Wired fan but I think you guys are doing badly.... I bought the first issue of Wired UK and now after the udpate, I lost my issue and I will need to REPURCHASE again?! Or this is an illusion that when I hit confirm to buy again you are going to say - Oh you have purchased this item and this will be a free download?! Now I understand why sales are bad for you guys....

I cant figure out how to get out of an auto renewing subscription for this. I dont want it, dont need it and there is no way to shut it off. when i try to sign in, i am not a user - but I keep getting charged. Digital runaround! I hope Conde Nast actually watches this feed and will help me.
